Ron Korb, flutes

Ron and Sharlene have known each other since their student days at the Faculty of Music, University of Toronto. Both have spent the years since, exploring Classical, Celtic, Latin, folk and pop music, performing, recording and composing. They now enjoy playing together for their annual Christmas concerts as well as other special seasonal performances. Most recently, Sharlene plays pedal and lever harps on Ron’s 2024 album, Global Canvas. Their instruments, flutes and harps, are truly one of the most beautiful pairings. Ron

Ron Korb Japanese-Canadian Grammy®Award winning flutist and composer Ron Korb has developed a distinctive global musical persona, fluidly blending Pan-Asian, Celtic, and Latin influences, acquired through a lifetime of exploration. In 2021, Ron played on Stewart Copeland (The Police) and Ricky Kej’s Grammy-winning album Divine Tides and he is featured on Masa Takumi’s Grammy winning album for Best Global Music Album (2023). Ron’s albums top favourite lists and legendary singers in Asia have recorded his music. He has toured in North America, Europe, Central America, Japan, China, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, India, & Australia.


Sharlene &
Anne Lindsay, fiddle

Many paths – and years of friendship – have brought Anne and Sharlene together to collaborate on an inspired programme of original music, Celtic tunes and the music of Oliver Schroer. Anne and Sharlene have performed with the Canadian Celtic Choir, for Chamber Music Mississauga’s Out & About and Summer Concert Series (Riverwood Conservation). Sharlene and Anne are founding members, with Eric Robertson (piano), of Iona Passage.

Anne Lindsay has established herself as one of the most engaging and
versatile instrumentalists in Canada. She has four award winning CDs of her own compositions and has been named Jazz Violinist of the Year (National Jazz Awards) and Solo Instrumentalist and Producer of the Year (Canadian Folk Music Awards). Anne has played on hundreds of recordings and is a featured performer with Jim Cuddy, Blue Rodeo, The Skydiggers and John McDermott. She was the resident fiddler for the Toronto Maple Leafs, the stage production of The Lord of the Rings and is an exuberant fireplug of a session-player-to-the-stars (Led Zeppelin, The Chieftains, Blue Rodeo, James Taylor, Roger Daltrey). George Koller, bass
Joseph Macerollo, accordion

Sharlene Wallace and George Koller have performed, recorded and toured together since 1996. Their performances have included concerts in Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, Northern Ontario with Susan Piltch (flute, piano), The 11th World Harp Congress (Vancouver, BC), Festival of Sound (Parry Sound), International Divas lll (Toronto), ROM Concert Series, Music West Kingston, Mississauga Chamber Music Concert Series, Mississauga Chamber Music Summer Concerts in Riverwood Park, Gananoque Concert Series and guest artist with Guelph Chamber Choir. George plays on six of Sharlene’s albums and produced and played on her harp & bass duo CD In Night’s Deep Silence

Rhythmic. Beautiful. Explorative. Playing original compositions, a flourish of Celtic tunes and music of South America, Sharlene and George create an unusual and memorable programme for harp and bass… and sometimes accordion with the incomparable Joseph Macerollo!

George Koller has accumulated hundreds of wildly diverse performing, touring and recording credits in his expansive musical career including with Peter Gabriel, Holly Cole, Loreena McKennitt, Ian Tyson, David Clayton-Thomas, Phil Woods, The Shuffle Demons, Olivia Newton-John, Chaka Khan, Eddie Harris, Eartha Kitt, Laila Biali, Eliana Cuevas, Holly Cole, Bruce Cockburn, Valdy, Joe Sealy, Sharlene Wallace, John Mcdermott….just to name a few. A prolific composer, producer and bassist, George also plays a variety of instruments, many of them featured on his award winning solo CD, “Music for Plants, Animals and Humans”. He has been a performer/bassist/producer credits on over 800 cd’s! George was presented with the 2007 national jazz award for “Bassist of the Year”, he has a Toronto Star Critics award and 2 Porcupine awards. Multiple film credits include “Such a Long Journey”, “Possible Worlds”, and “Away from her” on which George plays Sitar, Sarode, Dilruba, Tanpura and bass.
